IT WAS A LONG FELT DESIRE OF BISHOP ANTHONY FERNANDES TO START A MISSION STATION AT JASPUR. TO HIS INVITATION, FATHER OF THE CONGREGATION OF CARMELITES OF MARY IMMACULATE RESPONDED. THE CMI FATHER IN JULY 1998 PURCHASED LAND IN KISHANPUR VILLAGE, ABOUT 4 KM AWAY FROM THE TOWNSHIP OF JASPUR AND A TEMPORARY RESIDENCE WAS BLESSED ON 19 MACH 1999. FR. YESU DAS WAS THE FIRST PIONEER OF THIS PLACE. THE OBJECTIVE IS TO ESTABLISH AN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION AND TO CARRY OUT PASTORAL, EVANGILICAL AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES IN THE SURROUNDING VILLAGES. THE SISTER OF DESTITUTES (S.D) ARE HELPING IN THE MISSIONARY ACTIVITIES OF THE PLACE.
